As part of its commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery at the grassroots level, the Rotary Club of Garki has announced plans to commission newly constructed health workers’ quarters in Aleiyita Community, Abuja.
This development was disclosed in a statement by the Club President, Joachim Ezeji.
Ezeji said the commissioning ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 28, 2025, and will bring together key stakeholders in the health and development sectors.
Rotarian Joachim Ezeji, described initiative as a response to the pressing need for decent and secure accommodation for frontline health workers serving in rural and underserved communities.
“The provision of these quarters reflects our ongoing efforts to support community healthcare delivery by ensuring that health personnel are well accommodated and motivated to stay and serve in these areas,” Ezeji said.
The event will feature remarks from notable dignitaries, including Rotarian Mike Ukachi Nwanoshiri, the District Governor, and Dr. Frank Odafen, both of whom are expected to speak on the importance of partnerships in driving sustainable development and improving health systems.
The Rotary Club of Garki has been active in delivering impactful projects in health, education, and water and sanitation, among other areas. The Aleyita project, according to the club, underscores its focus on practical and community-centered solutions to developmental challenges.
Community leaders, government officials, and members of the public are also expected to attend the ceremony.
