The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Kwara State zonal head office has foster collaboration with the Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin in promoting cultural values, moral integrity, and national development among students and youths.
The State Director of NOA, Alhaji Dare Abdulganiyu led an agency delegate to the management of the institution head by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Noah Yusuf.
During the visit, the NOA Director commended the university’s commitment to affordable education, including its flexible tuition payment system, which enables students from diverse backgrounds to access quality education.
Alhaji Abdulganiyu also highlighted NOA’s key initiatives, such as the National Values Charter, Campus Focus Programme, and publications, aimed at instilling patriotism, ethical conduct, and civic responsibility in Nigerian youth.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Noah Yusuf expressed appreciation for NOA’s role in national advocacy and requested deeper collaboration with the university.
He recounted Al-Hikmah University’s growth since its establishment in 2005—from three faculties with 70 students to nine faculties with over 30,000 students today.
He also highlighted the institution’s community engagement programmes, including sensitization campaigns, road safety initiatives, and mentorship schemes for secondary school students.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Lanre Nurudeen reminisced about NOA’s impactful “Mamser Days” and assured the agency of the university’s support in integrating NOA’s programmes into its activities, particularly the Youth Mentorship Programme.
