President Bola Tinubu has approved the deployment of two newly appointed Federal Permanent Secretaries as part of efforts to bolster governance and improve service delivery across key ministries.
The appointments, announced by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation on Monday, were communicated by Eno Olotu, Director of Information & Public Relations.
She stated that the new Permanent Secretaries emerged through a competitive selection process and bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and innovation to their roles.
Olotu further highlighted that the posting is designed “to optimise performance, foster inter-ministerial collaboration, and drive sustainable development across key sectors of the economy”.
The new Permanent Secretaries and their postings are:
Rafiu Olarinre Adeladan – Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy
Dr. Mukhtar Yawale Mohammed – Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy
The statement added that the Head of the Civil Service, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, congratulated the appointees, urging them to bring their expertise to bear in their new assignments. She emphasized the importance of “professionalism, accountability, and result-oriented leadership” in achieving the Federal Government’s developmental goals.
The move forms part of the government’s final sprint under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021–2025 (#FCSSIP25), which emphasizes efficiency and reform across the public sector.
