A 14-year-old student of Springtide International School, FCT Abuja, Acho Zion Chisimdi, has launched her debut historical book titled “Sullivan’s Heir” in Abuja.
The landmark event brought together well-meaning Nigerians, dignitaries, parents, educators, and other stakeholders who gathered to celebrate the young author’s remarkable achievement.
Speaking at the event, Chisimdi explained that the journey of writing the book was not an easy one but proved to be a valuable learning experience that strengthened her focus on education and personal development. She expressed gratitude to God for making her dream a reality and encouraged fellow students to put in not only effort, but also passion and dedication toward their studies in order to achieve their future goals.
“I thank God for my life and for making my dream come true. My advice to my fellow students is to work hard, stay interested in what they do, and study with dedication to achieve their dreams,” she said.
Also speaking at the event, the National Poet of Nigeria and Founder Ambassador, Ekene Atusiubah, highlighted that Chisimdi began showing signs of literary brilliance from a very young age.
“As a toddler, she started putting letters together, and it was clear that she carried a rare gift—one that went beyond childhood curiosity,” Atusiubah noted. “Growing up, everyone has a talent, whether in writing, dancing, or acting, but many of these talents are never nurtured.”
He added that Chisimdi’s words “dance with intention,” noting that her imagination extends far beyond her age. According to him, the launch of “Sullivan’s Heir” celebrates not only her achievement as a young author, but also the foundation of excellence and support that shaped her growth.
“She is a pride not only to her family, but to the entire nation,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, former Principal of Springtide International School, Ajibola Segun Michael, also commended Zion Chisimdi for her bold decision and discipline, describing her journey as an inspiration for students to develop their potentials and contribute meaningfully to the building of society.
