Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC has opened bid for the expression of interest for the 2025 Pilgrimage exercise for ground handling and airlifting with the service providers.
Speaking at the event on Wednesday at the Commission’s corporate headquarters in Abuja, the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite said with the successful completion of the 2024 Main Pilgrimage exercise, the commission was set to begin a fresh procurement process for the 2025 Pilgrimage exercise in line with the procurement Act.
Adegbite emphasised that the just concluded 2024 Main Pilgrimage has been rated the best ever pilgrimage exercise conducted by the Commission, adding that the best room in life remains the room of improvement.
He affirmed that all the service providers who participated in the last Main Pilgrimage exercise performed excellently.
Adegbite maintained that for the Commission to achieve its set objectives this year with the service providers, “We must do everything with the fear of God”, stating that NCPC would not cheat anyone and no one should cheat NCPC.
The NCPC boss said that with the Corporate Slogan of the Commission which is Service and Satisfaction, the Commission would continue to deliver on its mandate and the service providers are expected to do the same.
He hinted that in the last pilgrimage exercise, the Commission paid 80 percent up front to the service providers to ensure there was no service failure.
Adegbite affirmed that the mandate of the President is to make sure Nigerians have the best.
“Let us know that whatever we will do must go according to the rules and procedures of procurement,” he said.
The Executive Secretary assured that the Commission would continue to open bids for service providers every year as the Commission is determined to be opened to everybody as far as procurement for its services are concerned.
