Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has been appointed Renewed Hope Ambassador ahead of the Federal Government’s Ward Development Programme national launch, in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
President Bola Tinubu, announcing the appointment, also named Uzodimma Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement, and Mobilisation. Effective immediately, Uzodimma will work with the APC leadership, governors to promote Tinubu’s programmes, ensuring victory in 2027.
As Renewed Hope Ambassador (and Chair of Progressive Governors Forum), Uzodimma will drive harmony, inclusiveness, coordination across the party, mobilising the public alongside other APC governors (also “Ambassadors of Hope”). Tinubu wants him to amplify the party’s 2023+ achievements – reinforcing Renewed Hope nationwide.
Since May 2023, Tinubu’s reforms show results: Inflation dropped 7 months straight, to 16.05% (October). The FX rate stabilised, reserves jumped to $46B (from $32B, $4B net in 2023). Investor confidence is up, with Foreign Direct Investment and portfolio investments boosting oil/gas. The economy’s diversifying, solid minerals are key. Over 700,000 students got education loans. Nigerians now get a passport in under a week.
Tinubu urged Uzodimma: “Make Nigerians know, understand our wins.”
