Federal Government has announced that 53 candidates have advanced to the next stage of the ongoing selection process for Permanent Secretaries, reaffirming its commitment to merit-based leadership appointments.
A statement issued on Tuesday by Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, OHCSF, confirmed the development.
Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, HCSF, Didi Walson-Jack said: “The advancement of 53 candidates to the next stage of this rigorous process reflects our deliberate efforts to uphold excellence in public service leadership. We are committed to ensuring that only individuals of proven competence, integrity, and vision emerge to lead the Federal Civil Service at the highest levels”.
A total of 73 candidates were accredited for the written examination, but three were absent. Out of the 70 who participated, 53 passed successfully.
The next stage—the Information and Communication Technology, ICY proficiency test, has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, to assess candidates’ digital competencies, which the HCSF described as indispensable for effective leadership in today’s governance environment.
The HCSF further assured Nigerians that the entire selection process remains credible, competitive, and reform-driven, aligning with the Federal Government’s broader governance and public service reform agenda.
