Seven people died while two others sustained various degrees of injury following a ghastly motor vehicle accident along Bida- Mokwa Highway in Niger state.
Nigerian Pilot gathered that the accident occurred Tuesday night in Panti village of Lavun local government area.
The accident occurred when a Toyota Corolla that was traveling to Kutigi from Batati collided with a trailer that was coming from Lagos heading to Abuja.
Seven out of nine of the occupants of the Toyota Corolla that were killed in the accident, out of whom five were females while the two others were male.
Contacted, the State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kumar Tsukwam, confirmed the accident, saying the accident occurred as a result of over speeding that led to loss of control.
He added that the remains of the deceased were deposited at Kutigi General Hospital.
