CDCFIB issues alert to the public about fraudulent messages claiming to offer job replacements.

Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, has warned the public against fraudulent message on job replacement.
A press release signed by Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril (Rtd), Secretary to the Board, stated that the attention of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, has been drawn to a purported replacement job vacancy circulating across various social media platforms.
The fraudulent message which reads: “You have been shortlisted as a suitable candidate after a review of your CV/application submitted recently. Your name and academic discipline have been recorded successfully. This is solely sent to you for a replacement job vacancy at the CDCFIB. Pay to the account details as indicated to a revenue collection officer the sum of NGN 1,340 (One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Naira Only) as your competitive clearance and revenue to the FGN for your posting and provision of appointment at CDCFIB.”
The Board in the statement also categorically stated that this message did not originate from the CDCFIB and has no affiliation with any ongoing recruitment exercise.
The statement stated, “The CDCFIB wishes to reiterate that all stages of its recruitment process are entirely free of charge and at no point request payment of any kind from applicants.”
Furthermore, it stated that security agencies have been alerted and were currently working to identify and prosecute those involved in this fraudulent scheme.
It added, “The general public is STRONGLY advised to disregard any of such messages and to rely solely on the official CDCFIB communication channels for authentic information.”
