The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, on Tuesday decorated 117 officers who were recently promoted by the Nigeria Police Force with their new ranks
According to a press statement made available to news men by the Police Public Relations Officer SP Ramham Nansel, Tuesday, quotes the CP, as saying, “I express my gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission for recognizing the deserving officers and promoting them”, he explained.
While congratulating the newly promoted officers, CP Shetima urged them to maintain professionalism and civility in their interactions with the public while performing their duties.
He emphasized that the promotion is a reflection of their hard work and dedication to combating crime and criminality in the state. The Commissioner of Police further encouraged the officers to see their promotion as an added responsibility that should inspire them to work even harder.
He reminded the officers of the heightened challenges and responsibilities associated with their new ranks, stressing that any unprofessional conduct would be taken seriously.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, CSP Mark Adakole expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Commissioner of Police for recommending them for promotion.
He assured CP Shetima that the officers would redouble their efforts to curb crime and further elevate the image of the Nigeria Police Force.
