Egbo Beach Soccer Club has won the maiden Anambra beach soccer league.
Egbo clinched the league title after defeating Diligent Brothers BSC 4-1 in the game played at the Nnewi High School Beach Soccer pitch, Nnewi.
In the third place game, Young Warriors BSC had a convincing 6-4 win over Migcrem BSC to secure the bronze medal.

Awam, a member of the league organising committee appreciated players and managers of the teams that participated for their discipline and spirit of sportsmanship,
He said the successful hosting of the league was a testament to the arrival Beach Soccer in Anambra, noting that coaches and players were united in commending the Anambra Beach Soccer Association
“I want to thank all the teams for their discipline and sportsmanship, I urge you all to continue to be good ambassadors of beach soccer.
“This tournament has exposed us to a special and exciting format of the game, we are grateful for the experience.
“We want to appreciate Prof. Victor Madubuko, Chairman of the Anambra Beach Soccer Association for his vision and generosity which has provided our youths with this opportunity to showcase their skills,” he said.
Awam, who is the Coordinator of Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors, said players from the competition would form the bulk of the state team that would defend the national title in the forthcoming Nigeria Beach Soccer League later this year.
The Anambra Beach Soccer league kicked off on Feb. 21 with four clubs including, Young Warriors BSC, Micgrem BSC
