A group under the platform of Young Nigerian Voices, YNV, have commended the philanthropic efforts of Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, a former Minister of Education (State), for facilitating a nationwide donation of food and other relief materials to the Muslim community during the Ramadan season.
In a statement on Saturday by the its National Publicity Secretary, Chigozie Igbo Jr, the group said the donation, presented at various mosques across the country, including the AYA Asokoro mosque in Abuja aimed to “support less privileged Muslim faithful during the sacred month of Ramadan.”
The YNV added that the donation was made in three phases: “March 27, 2025, in the North East, North West, and North Central states, and March 28, 2025, in the South East, South West, and South South states.”
“His nationwide donation demonstrates his commitment to promoting unity and supporting vulnerable communities across Nigeria. Hon. Barr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba’s nationwide Ramadan donation to the Muslim community in the 36 states of Nigeria and the FCT Abuja is a testament to his exceptional leadership and commitment to promoting unity and supporting vulnerable communities in the country.
“His selfless act of providing food relief materials to less privileged Muslim faithful during the holy month of Ramadan is truly commendable. As a renowned politician and lawyer, Hon. Barr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has consistently demonstrated his dedication to the welfare of Nigerians, regardless of their religious affiliations. His impressive track record of public service, including his tenure as Minister of State for Education, is a reflection of his tireless efforts to drive positive change in the country,” Igbo Jr added.
In her remarks shortly after distributing the items at the AYA mosque, Abuja, FCT of the YNV, Dr. Ifeyinwa Esther urged Muslims to continue to show love, and assured that the donation gesture of the former minister will be sustained annually.
Chief Imam of the AYA mosque, Muhammadu Bello while accepting the items, commended Nwajibuba and urged Muslims to be in their best character as they round up the Ramadan season.
