Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, NCoS, Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, has restated commitment to providing better services and achieving mandates.
Nwakuche who made a presentation at the Performance Review Retreat convened by the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, with the theme “From Plans to Results: Strengthening Institutional Performance in the Ministry of Interior, outlined the Service’s key reform milestones, emphasizing its commitment to security, inmates’ rehabilitation, and staff welfare as vital components of national development.
He highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at repositioning Correctional facilities to reflect global best practices while addressing emerging challenges.
The retreat provided a platform for Heads of Agencies under the Ministry of Interior to showcase achievements, evaluate institutional progress, and strengthen strategies for improved service delivery in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Controller General also reaffirmed NCoS’s readiness to translate policies into measurable outcomes, assuring Nigerians that the Service remains focused on redeeming its image, enhancing professionalism, and contributing meaningfully to internal security architecture.
