The Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has presented a cash donation of three million naira to families of fallen police officers in Nasarawa State.
This was contained in a press release issued to journalist, Monday by Ramhan Nansel, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Nasarawa State Command.
The cash donation which was done by the state Commissioner of Police CP, Shetima Jauro Mohammed, gave a sum of one million naira each to the families of three police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty on December 29, 2024, at Garaku, Kokona local government area of the state.
The gesture, aimed at cushioning the impact of the tragic loss, underscores the state government’s commitment to the welfare of security personnel and their families.
CP Shetima Mohammed, while presenting the money expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the Inspector-General of Police, encouraged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds in catering for their families and improving their well-being.
He commended the Governor for his unwavering support, compassion, and service to humanity, noting that such acts of generosity would go a long way in boosting the morale of officers serving in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Sadiq Khadijat expressed profound gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule, for the kind gesture and assured that the funds would be used wisely.
