A recent outbreak of violence in the Federal Capital Territory FCT, has resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left several others seriously injured.
A total of 19 individuals have been taken into custody in relation to the accident.
The two suspect were rushed to Asokoro General Hospital, where they were sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent to the hospital’s mortuary. Meanwhile, security forces have successfully regained control of the situation, and the affected area has been stabilized.
According to eyewitness, a group of hooded attackers launched a brutal assault on security operatives, leaving several seriously injured, including DSP Amos Biko, the Second-in-Command of the Waru Outstation, and Philibus, the Commander of the Destiny Hunters.
The attackers also destroyed three patrol vehicles and made off with a riot long-range firearm and cartridges.
In a retaliatory move, the assailants vandalised the Waru Outstation, smashing glass windows and damaging six privately owned vehicles parked on the premises.
The injured officers were rushed to Shekworhishama Hospital in Kabusa, where DSP Amos Biko was later confirmed dead.
His body has been transferred to the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi for further examination.
