Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, yesterday reiterated, his commitment to ensuring the continued safety and security of Osun State, with a promise to build on the successes achieved and to keep raising the bar for excellence in security leadership.
Dr Omoyele while receiving the award of Living Hero of Security World” and “Distinguished Noble and Security Expert of the Year 2024/2025” from the Life Value Awareness and Leadership Secure Initiative (LIVALSI), held at the Osun Amotekun Headquarters, Powerline, Osogbo made this known in his acceptance speech.
Dr. Omoyele who expressed immense gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the importance of honoring living legends also appreciated Governor Ademola Adeleke of the state for his unwavering support, including the provision of a state-of-the-art headquarters, the recruitment of 1,000 operatives, and essential logistical resources that have enhanced the Corps’ operational capacity.
The Corps Commander who dedicated the award to all the officers of the Osun Amotekun Corps, whose dedication and hard work have made these achievements possible said the honor celebrates his exceptional contributions to security and his leadership excellence within a short span of time since his appointment to the Corps.
While decorating the award on Dr Omoyele, the President of the LIVALSI, Ambassador Musibau Oladipo, commended the Osun Amotekun Corps for its outstanding role in tackling crime in the Southwest, especially in Osun State.
Amb. Oladipo praised Dr. Omoyele for his proactive leadership and for working diligently with various stakeholders to curb crime, ensuring that the state remained safe and secure while highlighting the Corps’ significant accomplishments in suppressing criminal activities such as ritual killings and other forms of organized crime, which have plagued the region.
Amb. Oladipo further emphasized that honoring individuals for their achievements should not be reserved solely for posthumous recognition, instead, those making impactful contributions should be celebrated while they are still with us which called for recognition of Dr. Omoyele’s tireless work for the betterment of society, serving as an inspiration for others to follow.
