Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, today swore in a new Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, a key position aimed at enhancing the state’s fiscal strategy and economic growth.
The ceremony, held at the Government House, saw the Governor express his confidence in the new appointee’s ability to effectively manage the state’s economic planning and budgeting processes.
Governor Radda highlighted the appointee’s impressive track record in public service, emphasizing qualities such as dedication, honesty, and an unwavering commitment to transparency in governance.
“Ethical standards and transparency are critical in this role, and I am confident that the new commissioner will uphold these values as they guide the state’s economic planning,” the Governor stated
The new commissioner brings a wealth of experience to the position, including a Master’s in Business Administration from Bayero University Kano and a distinguished career, including serving as Katsina State’s Accountant General.
He is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
Governor Radda expressed his optimism that the new commissioner’s experience and commitment would be instrumental in achieving sustainable economic development for the state.
The ceremony was attended by key government officials, including the State Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, and other members of the State Executive Council, marking a significant moment in the state’s governance.
