Katsina State Government has reiterated its dedication to fostering a business-friendly environment to accelerate economic and investment growth in the region.
This commitment was highlighted by Governor Dikko Umar Radda through his deputy Faruq Lawal Jobe, during the launch of a three-day PEBEC Subnational Tour Conference for the North West, held at the state government secretariat conference hall in Katsina.
The event drew a significant audience, including a representative of the Minister of Trade and Investment, delegations from all seven North West state governments, business leaders, and various stakeholders across the region.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Radda, Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe emphasized the need for greater collaboration among North West states.
He advocated for the effective harnessing and utilization of the region’s abundant agricultural and natural resources to drive economic development for the benefit of their populations and Nigeria at large.
“Our administration is committed to partnering with both governmental and non-governmental organizations at local, national, and international levels to secure more investment opportunities and boost revenue generation for Katsina State,” Jobe stated.
The forum served as a platform for dialogue among regional leaders on best practices for creating a conducive business environment. Governor Radda characterized the interactive session as a unified effort to promote economic prosperity and ease of doing business in the region.
Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, representing the Governor of Kano State, and other representatives from Jigawa, Kaduna, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kebbi states shared their respective challenges and strategies aimed at incentivizing businesses. Each state outlined measures to foster business growth, underscoring a shared commitment to regional economic development.
