By Friday Idachaba, Lokoja.
IN his resolve to reduce the financial burden on parents amidst the current economic hardship, member Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Bin Ebaiya Shehu-Tijani (APC-Lokoja 1) has empowered 500 students with free 2025 JAMB registration.
Speaking on the occasion in Lokoja, the Legislator reiterated his resolve to positively affect his Constituency through impactful leadership and representation that would attract development to the people down to the grassroots.
Addressing Journalists the Coordinator, “Team Best Free JAMB Registration Exercise”, Salihu Abubakar Abdullahi explained that the People elected Hon. Tijani and the exercise presented a platform for him to say thank you to the people.
It is evidently clear that many people have knowledge, understanding, but the means to go about it is always a problem.
“So, we felt that it is important we ameliorate the hardship of many families by reducing the burdens on parents. All the people that are visible here have been captured. We are determined to do something bigger as we move on.
“Hon. Tijani has also promised that after this, 10 best candidates each, both male and female who beat their school cut-off marks would be rewarded handsomely to support their education when they are admitted”, he said.
Abdullahi, who is also the Director General, Campaign Council to the serving Kogi State lawmaker averred that, since Hon. Tijani was elected to serve his people, he would continue to initiate new concepts to change the lives of his constituents.
The DG Campaign Council however, admonished well-to-do individuals to emulate the laudable initiatives of the serving lawmaker by giving back to the society.
He said, “To those that are wealthy, they should always remember the less privileged. We all know the role of a Lawmaker which is making laws for the good governance of the State.”
“Hon. Tijani is going out of his way to put a smile on people’s faces. The students on their part should put in their best and make sure they come out in flying colours in their academic pursuit. They should endeavour to make their families, Kogi State and Nigeria at large, proud”, he added.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Journalists described Hon. Tijani, as a selfless leader who has continued to serve his people meritoriously.
