Minister of State, FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has commended the Federal Government for prioritizing the rehabilitation of the Paikonkore-Ibwa (9km) road project in Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja, and has urged the community to safeguard the infrastructure and use it responsibly.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony which was held on Wednesday in Abuja, Mahmoud expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Minister of FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, for ensuring the project’s successful completion.
The rehabilitated road is expected to boost economic growth, enhance connectivity, and improve the overall quality of life for residents in the community.
Mahmoud also thanked the contractors, engineers, and workers involved in the project, as well as community members for their patience and cooperation during the construction period.
She emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure the road’s longevity and benefit to the community.
Mahmoud encouraged the community to work together to maintain the road and ensure its continued use for the benefit of all.
“I thank everyone present today your participation in this event reflects the collective pride we all share in this achievement.
Let us continue to safeguard this road, use it responsibly, and collaborate to ensure more developmental strides in the future”, she said.
She expressed her optimism that the road would bring lasting benefits to the community and serve as a beacon of unity and progress.
The commissioning of the rehabilitated road is a testament to the Federal Government’s commitment to infrastructure development and its dedication to improving the welfare of Nigerians.
