The National Directorate of Employment, NDE has flagged off its second phase of employment exercised, promised to trained about 41,307 persons in over thirty different skills nationwide.
Director General of the program, Silas Ali Agara, announced this during the flagged off of the second phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative RHEI 2, in Lafia the Nasarawa state capital.
Agara, who was represented by the state coordinator of the program Mr. Idris Dauda Muhamood, said the directorate has learnt from it’s past experience and come up with a new process by digitalising the registration with the portal fully equipped with scalable backends and geofenced capabilities.
He explained that those selected would be resettled with starter packs to assist them become employers of labour and wealth creators in the nearest future according to their chosen career.
The DG, added that successful candidates will be trained in 30 deferent I skills like vocational, entrepreneur, agriculture, ICT and other activities in the public works sector.
Speaking earlier, the Nasarawa state, coordinator of NDE, Idris Muhamood, said about 1,214, Nasarawa indigenes are to benefit from the gesture, added that the exercise will be carried out in the three Senatorial district of the state to ensured closeness to beneficiaries.
He urged participants to be committed in their endeavour to ensure live changing skills that would enhance their opportunity to make valuable contributions and development of the state.
