A Neo-Biafra Separatist Youth leader Emeka Charles AGBAGA has been declared wanted by the authorities of the Nigerian state.
Emeka, suspected to be a prominent pro-Biafra leader is from Umuoji in idemili North local government area of Anambra State and is currently at large.
According to informed sources Emeka leads a peaceful protest to sensitise Young people about advocating and human rights. Being a young leader, he’s seen as a voice for his people, largely perceived to be marginalised by the Nigerian government.
Nigerian former defense spokesman Major General John Enenche had noted that the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB], led by Nnamdi Kanu, had formed a movement that has been proscribed by the Nigerian government.
The claim by IPOB actors that the organization is non-violent is not true, said Enenche in a statement. Notably, EMEKA CHARLES AGBAGA was an active member advocating for the independence of the Indigenous People of Biafra from Nigeria.
The separatist movement has garnered international controversy and tensions with the Nigerian government.
The pro-Biafra leaders’ case-Nnamdi Kanu currently in the custody of the Nigerian secret police has drawn international attention, with human rights and foreign governments expressing concern about the fairness of the Nigerian state to the separatist movement.
The South East Region is notable for strong advocacy of a separatist movement of Neo-Biafra as a result of suppression by the Nigerian State. Emeka Charles AGBAGA was born August 17,1979.
