SANLAM Alliance Nigeria has emerged winner at the 2025 NiRA .NG Awards, with its corporate website, adjudged the best in its category. The awards are organised by the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), the registry for .ng internet domain names and the body responsible for managing Nigeria’s country-code top-level domain.
The annual .NG Awards celebrate outstanding Nigerian digital initiatives and recognise individuals and organisations driving innovation, security, accessibility and growth on the internet. Entries are evaluated based on criteria such as local content, user experience, functionality, relevance and website dynamism.
Reacting to the recognition, Chris Ekwonwa, Group Head, Strategy, Marketing and Customer Relations at SanlamAllianz Nigeria, described the award as a validation of the company’s digital quality and innovation. He noted that while the company was a finalist in 2024 as Sanlam Nigeria, it clinched the top prize in 2025 following its joint venture with Allianz.
“This award reinforces our rebrand promise of two strong global brands coming together to deliver enhanced innovation and superior customer experience across all our touchpoints,” Ekwonwa said.
Further underscoring the firm’s growing digital strength, SanlamAllianz Nigeria was recently named the most innovative user of the Netcore/Infytel automated marketing platform. According to Bankole Banjo, Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager, the company’s digital ecosystem — including the SanlamAllianz Connect customer app and a paperless agents’ sales platform used by over 5,000 field agents — reflects its strong commitment to technology-driven service delivery.
SanlamAllianz Nigeria is the product of a joint venture between Sanlam, Africa’s largest non-banking financial services group, and Allianz, one of the world’s leading insurance brands. The partnership spans 28 African countries and was formally consummated in Nigeria in June 2025, followed by a high-profile nationwide rebranding campaign.
