Association of Yoruba Traditional Leaders/Obas in the 19 Northern state and FCT has called on the Christians and Muslim to remain calm and build United prosperous entire country.
In a statement issued by Alhaji Abdulrahim Juma Yusuf Alao Oba Yoruba of Gombe General Secretary emphasize that as Nigeria continues to grapple with palpable and widespread security threats affecting citizens irrespective of tribe, religion, region, or social class. The menace cuts across all communities, and it is clear that criminality—not ethnicity or faith—is at the heart of these challenges.
The group, include, Chairman, Alhaji Muritala Sani Adeleke the Sarkin Yorubawan Funtua alongside the Executive Council and General Assembly of the Association—the umbrella body for all Yoruba socio-cultural organizations in Northern Nigeria and the FCT.

The violence experienced in various regions is the handiwork of criminal groups and enemies of society, who must be uniformly condemned and confronted—regardless of the victims’ identity.
We appreciate the concern expressed by President Donald Trump regarding Nigeria’s security situation. Insecurity anywhere in the world is indeed a concern everywhere.
However, such concerns must be based on accurate insights, balanced analysis, and a deep understanding of Nigeria’s complex security dynamics.
On Nigeria’s Placement on the CPC List
Nigeria welcomes genuine international interest in its peace and stability. However, unilateral designations such as the Country of Particular Concern (CPC) status should reflect facts, not misinterpretations.
